(If you don't know why you are here, please go back to the launch page for What Kind of Pats Hater Are You?) Our closest exposure to Bill Belichick is what we see and hear from him behind a podium speaking in front of a swarm of lights, cameras, and story-hungry media members. We see that he's not smooth like Jon Gruden, not likable like Tony Dungy, not even an entertaining grouch like Bill Parcells.
Belichick might be a terrible person -- perhaps worse than what people imagine. He might also be wonderful, caring, empathetic, and altruistic.
I have no idea. I've never met the guy. I'm guessing neither have you.
It would be nice if Belichick looked a man in the eye when he shook his hand. It would be nice if his players could celebrate without mocking their opponents or spike a ball somewhere other than a team's insignia. If you have to loathe a man for one reason or another, harping on his classlessness is borderline defensible.
But if you hate rude people with no sense of decorum, I don't know how you get up in the morning and face the world in 2008 every day.
Judgment: You are a Charmingly Outdated Patriots Hater.
Good luck on keeping your blood pressure down.
