LeBron James and Caron Butler to Have Dueling Parties in D.C.

I guess if you're an All-Star playing for the Washington Wizards, you have no choice but to throw mega-birthday bashes chock full of celebrities. In much the same way that Gilbert Arenas went all out with his party last year, it seems that Caron Butler is trying to do something that's at least in the same ballpark, as (if the invitation is to be believed) he's got Kim Kardashian hosting his birthday party, as well as Carmen Electra slated to be in attendance.

But Caron's not the only one throwing a party tonight. Before any parties will be attended, a basketball game will be played between the Wizards and the Cleveland Cavaliers, and LeBron James is throwing a party of his own in town afterwards. The details, from The Examiner (via the Bog):

A source close to the planning of the party said Butler was also willing to pay none other than Paris Hilton to come as yet another high profile guest, but it didn't work out. Just a guess, but we imagine it has something to do with her and Kardashian's very public falling out.

After all, the pressure will be on Butler to top a party the Cavs' LeBron James is throwing tonight at kstreet Lounge. kstreet owner David Chung said LeBron is "bringing in table customers from all over the country," including former Boston Celtic Delonte West.

I'm not sure what a "table customer" is, or why they would come from all over the country to spend a few hours in a club with LeBron, but let's hope it's nothing that the former Governor of New York would be interested in. Let's see, Kim Kardashian and Carmen Electra, or Delonte West? Tough choice, but unless Paris rolls to King James' blowout just to spite Kim, I'm going with Caron's clambake. It is Butler's hometown after all, so I expect him to end up with the majority of the top talent that the District has to offer.
