Columbus Crew Fans Set a Very Bad Example

If you don't like foul language and racial epithets, or you don't want your co-workers to hear them, you probably don't want to click play on this video:


That was a Columbus Crew fan dropping both F-bombs and N-bombs at New England Revolution forward Kheli Dube after he scored the game-winning goal in the Revs' 1-0 win over the Crew last weekend. Apparently, this particular "fan" decided that was acceptable behavior at a soccer game. Gee, where would he have gotten that idea?

Of course, the coup de grace is that this same fan shouts that one of the Revs should be sent off for reacting to that taunt -- while other fans are throwing water bottles at the player in question. Crew fans also tossed a lit flare into a barrage of streamers during a New England corner kick. Great idea! You stay classy, Columbus!

UPDATE: The Columbus Crew and MLS are reportedly investigating this incident.
