Facebook, the famous
But I can't yet decide if I'm going to throw my support behind the LeBron James Fan Page. (Via And One)
The Cavaliers superstar has posted his official page on the popular social Web site. Along with his name, hometown, birth date and photo, James tells friends: "Hey guys, it's good to reach out to you again through my official Facebook page. This is where you can catch up on what's been going on with me during the off-season. . . . See ya later, LBJ."See -- and this is how I know I'm still hip -- there's a huge difference between being a "Friend" and being a "Fan".
And maybe I'm reading too much into this whole thing, but I kind of tend to think of the Fan page as being something more corporate or amusing in nature. Where as a Friend is well, actually someone that is added to your profile.
I'm not saying that LeBron is a bad person for going Fan instead of just having a normal profile, all I'm saying is that there is something distinctly corporate about the whole process. Now go ahead. Go stalk.
