According to the St. Petersburg Times, Brian Griese took all of the first-team snaps in the Buccaneers walkthrough on Wednesday, and is expected to start the teams week two contest against Atlanta. Jeff Garcia, meanwhile, was nowhere to be found. Fortunately, for Tampa Bay, Jon Gruden makes it a habit to keep 56 quarterbacks around, almost as if they grow on trees.

Garcia suffered a sprained ankle in Sunday's loss at New Orleans, and was initially listed as questionable for this Sunday's home opener. It now appears that he's going to be out.

Griese will be making his first start for the Buccaneers since 2005 when his season was cut short by a torn ACL. He spent the previous two seasons performing mop up duty for Rex Grossman in Chicago.
