Gay Marriage Vote Puts Heat On Christie
The Miami Arena hasn't hosted an NBA game since 1999, or a Rony Seikaly appearance for even longer. But, like the old Charlotte Colisseum, it was a charming gym, quirky and charismatic on TV (unlike the new cookie-cutter palaces, none of which have real flavor for the at-home observer).
Today, they blew up the Arena. I'm not anyone (save Seikaly) cried.
Not to get indignant and weepy on you, but it occurs to me the next gym to be imploded might be KeyArena, whether Seattle works out a deal or not. That's not going to go nearly as quietly.
