Ocho Cinco Heads to Dallas: 'I'm Going To Kiss the Star'

For a guy who has done next to nothing this season and who swore off the local media last season, Chad Ocho Cinco has been doing a lot of talking today.

He opened up quite a bit in a conference call to Dallas-area media earlier in the day. Then after practice he decided to open up to the local media:

"That's America's team. It's one of the greatest organizations ever. This week, to show my respect for Dallas and its owner, Jerry Jones, I'm going to score and I'm going to kiss the star. I'm telling you, I'm not being rude about anything, I'm going to kiss the star. It's going to be fun. I'm excited to go to Dallas. You know, T.O., you've got two of the don't-know-what-is-going-to-happen-next receivers playing. It's going to be fun."

I guess Chad feels intimidated by not being the loudest receiver in a football game. Cowboys receiver Terrell Owens has had his own issues with the media this week so it makes sense for Ocho Cinco to get a little antsy. Lord knows we need something to get excited about from this matchup.

Despite the pitiful start by the Bengals, they will get a mostly national audience to show how bad they are. Since this is a rare Cowboys game for CBS, they are putting their top broadcast team of Jim Nantz and Phil Simms on the game.

The Bengals star is known for his antics both on and off the field. "I'm the type that I want everyone to like me and what I do." The outspoken wideout has always found creative ways to push the NFL's celebration rules.

Love him or hate him, you have to give him credit for his creativity when it comes to bringing laughs. Johnson put this sports jacket on after a 39-yard touchdown pass against the Baltimore Ravens in 2007.

Johnson began sporting a blond mohawk in '06, a look that morphed into a team marketing ploy. Blond rubber scalps were sold in the team gift shop.

According to Chad, Tiger Woods has nothing on his golf game, as he showed versus the Ravens. The showman once used the pylon to putt the football after scoring a touchdown.

In another premeditated move, the Bengals wideout resuscitated a ball in the end zone after a score.

Johnson has also used his celebrity for good causes. In 2007, he raised money for charity by racing a horse. Thanks to a head start, he won the race by several lengths.
