Red Sox Still Like 2/3rds of Manny Ramirez

Manny Ramirez, for all of his time in Boston, had a less than cordial end to his career there. He demanded a trade. He maybe pretended to be hurt. He refused to play spies. It was all very out of character and sad, and it no doubt left some of his fellow players feeling betrayed.

If that's the case, though, the Red Sox should be commended for hiding it. They've voted to give Manny two-thirds of a playoff share this year, to reflect the portion of the season he was hitting for Boston and not for Los Angeles.
"Some wanted him to be paid days," the source said, rather than a more generous share, according to the report. "It was obviously a somewhat sensitive subject with some guys, but we didn't spend too much time on it. After the vote, we moved on."
OK, so maybe everyone doesn't like Manny. But enough of them do that he gets some money for destroying the hearts of Rays fans everywhere. And really, shouldn't that be enough?
