Raiders Phoning It In Against Falcons

On a day when the Bengals finally won and the Lions looked fiesty for a change, we can at least rest assured that the Raiders are still absolutely awful.

It's hard to imagine a worse first half than the one the Raiders put up against the Falcons today. Not only did Atlanta score 24 first-half points by scoring on all but one of their five first-half possessions, but the Raiders offense was absolutely inept. Oakland had no first downs, no yards (-2 to be exact) and two sacks allowed.

The "highlight" of the Raiders first half was a six-yard catch by tight end Zach Miller on first and 15. It's pretty clear the Tom Cable-era isn't going any better than the Lane Kiffin-era, and it's also clear that Al Davis' Commitment To Excellence is now a comittment to phoning it in.
