There were four fights in the first period last night during the Blues-Blackhawks game in Chicago, but the tilt that everyone is still talking about came on Thursday night, when Milan Lucic of the Bruins took on Montreal's Mike Komisarek in Boston. While most of the league hasn't been looking, the Bruins have won eight of their last 10 games, soaring to the top of the Northeast Division and leaving preseason favorite Montreal in their wake.

Going into Thursday night's game, Boston was riding a 12-game regular-season losing streak to the Canadiens, but they shrugged it off with a convincing 6-1 victory on Thursday. In the third period, only a few minutes after Lucic had scored his fifth goal of the season to give Boston a 5-1 lead, Komisarek decided that he had seen enough and that it was time to teach Lucic a lesson. Safe to say, while Komisarek didn't exactly get his head handed to him, it didn't turn out as planned.
