Tom Brady, according to all the sideline reporting I've seen, hasn't been hitting up many team practices this year. It's not that he isn't a team player, if I understand correctly, it's just that, well, his knee kind of hurts and he does not really care to spend time watching his teammates do what he can't. But, when Matt Cassel decided that he was gonna get all Pro-Bowly on the Jets last Thursday and throw for three touchdowns and 400 yards, rumor has it that he freaked out, ditched his crutches and started stepping up his recovery.*
*Okay, not really. All he's doing here is walking without crutches outside his New York City (cue Pace salsa jokes) apartment. The really good news for him is that people still care enough to squat outside his place with video cameras. Oh, and that Cassel is going to get overpaid by someone else next year when he comes back.
