And here we are, a little less than ten hours from the Texas Tech-Oklahoma game. With the bye week, this has been hyped to levels of extreme annoyance. Don't get me wrong, I've been looking forward to the game. It's just that nothing but talking about this game for two weeks makes me just want to get it over and done.
As for the early action, there are rivalries of little impact beyond bragging rights. Indiana and Purdue go at it for the Old Oaken Bucket. West Virginia and Louisville battle to see which team made a worse hire at head coach. Heck, the Harvard-Yale game is on at noon. UNC and NC State have their game. And come on, who doesn't want to see Vandy finally get over on Tennessee?
And those are just the noon games. The midday games feature Michigan-Ohio State. Stanford plays California, which is always an excuse to show the Stanford band on the field classic. Michigan State and Penn State face for a rare meaningful battle for the Land Grant Shelving Unit. And who can resist the rotten Apple Cup with Washington-Washington State.
Then there are all the big games at night, beyond the Texas Tech-Oklahoma game. So join us around 12 PM EST to discuss these and other games around the country.
