Tornado Watch Issued for Tampa Bay, Could Cause Problems For Bucs-Saints

Hopefully those with tickets for today's NFC South tilt between Tampa Bay and New Orleans packed some extra rain gear, and perhaps, if the worst case scenario plays out, are prepared to bolt themselves to their seats. As it turns out, there's a tornado watch issued for the Tampa Bay area until 5 PM EST. The Bucs and Saints kick off at 1 PM EST. Yeah, that could be a problem.

Hopefully, for the safety of everyone involved, and the people that live in those areas, it remains just a watch, and no tornado ever develops.

Either way, weather should be a factor in this game, which is probably good news for the Buccaneers, seeing as how no defense in the league has been able to contain Drew Brees. Perhaps a rain-soaked, muddy field could help the process.

Just prior to yesterday's Florida-Florida state game, also played in a steady downpour, the sideline reporter asked Florida State head coach Bobby Bowden how he planned to slow down Tim Tebow. His response: "We're hoping the weather will."

I imagine Buccaneers fans are thinking the same thing about Brees.
