Chicago Blackhawks president John McDonough has said the upcoming NHL Winter Classic could be "the toughest regular-season ticket to secure in the history of Chicago sports". If he's right, then there is a lucrative opportunity awaiting owners of the rooftop clubs adjacent to Wrigley Stadium Field.

According to Chicago Alderman Tom Tunney, those owners should be able to sell tickets to the January 1 game between the Red Wings and Blackhawks. He has introduced an ordinance that would authorize those sales.
"It's a fierce rivalry. Interest is very high and ticket prices are very high. There's an opportunity for the rooftops to do some business," said Tunney.
Tunney notes that the rooftops should provide a good view of the action, as center ice will be near where second base is on the baseball diamond.

How quickly those tickets will sell is another matter. However, with demand high for seats to this game, it's hard to imagine that the rooftops would be anything but packed.
