Fight Night in Nashville: Big Hits, Big Fights
In the wake of the crushing hit, Jason Jaffrey and Rich Peverley squared off at center ice. Not the best scrum we've seen, but Peverley losses points for fighting with his visor on. Doesn't this violate the code?
All of this carried over to the second period, when Alexandre Burrows decided to throw a little gasoline on the fire by stepping into Nashville forward J.P Dumot in the neutral zone, which led to Jason Arnott jumping Burrows.
At the end of the night, the two teams combined for 68 penalty minutes, including four fighting majors, two 10-minute misconducts, and one Ryan Kesler five-minute major for boarding Shea Weber late in the second period.
In case you're wondering, these teams meet two more times this season, on January, 1 in Nashville, and January, 28 in Vancouver.
