Quick question: Will anyone watch this thing on pay-per-view? DirecTV isn't even offering it, and since DirecTV usually caters to sports fans more than the other cable and satellite companies to, I have to assume that this will do, at best, a few thousand pay-per-view buys in the United States.
There actually is a part of me that would like to see this, for the pure freak show factor: Old Man vs. Giant is the kind of storyline it's hard to turn away from. And, since I buy every boxing and MMA pay-per-view show, I'd probably buy this one, too.
But since I have DirecTV, I'll have to find something better to do with my Saturday afternoon. That's probably for the best.
