FanHouse's NBA Guide gives you a daily look at all the games that matter ... and some that don't.

A short Wednesday slate that begins at 2PM EST. Also, be sure to tune in for Matt Watson's live Twitter updates from Nets-Pistons, which tips at 3PM EST.

HEADLINER
Milwaukee at Houston, 7PM EST

The Bucks have been better than they ought to be under Scott Skiles. The Rockets ... let's say the team's still finding their way. David Berri noted this morning that Houston's point margin is a chunk worse than last season's result, despite the addition of Ron Artest. No one wants to dismiss Houston after last season's shocking 22-game win streak with this roster and before the team has reached any semblance of health. But you can't help but feel nervous the vogue titlist will come up way, way short.

Milwaukee, meanwhile ... I know the slams against Skiles in Chicago were well-founded and valid. But Scott Skiles -- his personality, his system ... whatever -- got Michael Redd to tally 10 rebounds against the Spurs last night. Redd has one other 10-rebound game since 2004. Overall, Redd's having a down year. But Skiles has put the screws to these players in a way that's sharpened their defense an enormous amount and has gotten them to play well-rounded ball not experienced the past two years.

Milwaukee's got a tough task in Houston, especially consider the Rockets must be embarrassed by the home loss to Washington on Monday. But I have a feeling Skiles will get his team ready for the match.

UNDERCARD
New Jersey at Detroit, 3PM EST

FanHouse's Matt Watson will be at the Palace for this early game, and you can follow his Twitter updates using the NBA FanHouse Live feed or at the bottom of this very post.

Orlando at Chicago, 2PM EST

The Magic and Bulls get off to an early start in the Chi. Orlando suffered a tough home loss to the big-brother Pistons on Monday, but has been stellar on the road. Chicago, meanwhile, knocked off the Nets earlier this week to continue its up-and-down season. It'd be a big win for Derrick Rose and friends, but it's hard to see the Magic coming out flat ... unless Hedo and 'Shard spent last night partying with Blago.

Philadelphia at L.A. Clippers

It's like a Pokemon battle between an aardvark and a tree stump.

Denver at Toronto, 7PM EST, NBA TV

NAILBITER
Golden State at Oklahoma City, 8PM EST

This one was actually a close runner-up for Headliner. (And you think I'm kidding.) Kevin Durant has 50 points in him tonight.
