Every Monday during the PGA TOUR season, Monday's Pin Placement will run as a wrap-up of the weekend action, with a little commentary mixed in. We will focus on anything you may have missed while you were grinding on the putting green.

Zach Johnson Gets Lei'd -- So much is said about the young golfers these days. We talk about Anthony Kim, Hunter Mahan, Ryan Moore and just about anyone else that is under 30 and has a little game. What is hard for most to realize (because Tiger didn't do it) is most professional golfers don't hit their talent strides until they get to 30.

Johnson, 32, has won four PGA Tour events in the last two years, all coming at pretty elite events -- the Masters, AT&T Classic, Valero Texas Open and now the Sony Open after rounds of 65-66-65 to close the tournament.

His latest victory has Johnson on our radar once more, just five months off of missing the Ryder Cup because of a fairly mediocre 2008 season. Understand this -- as much fun as it is to watch bombers smoke it off the tee, and guys pull a 6-iron from 215, when guys like Zach can get the putter rolling, they are in danger of winning just about any tournament with any field (That or play the ninth hole five under par in your last three rounds. That helps).

Adam Scott Making Headlines In All Phases of Life -- People tend to say Scott has "Hollywood" good looks, so it appears the Aussie has decided to live like a Hollywood star. A week after a t-18 in the competitive Mercedes Championship field, Scott finished in a tie for second at 13-under at the Sony Open after closing with a final round 64. What can top that? Finding yourself on the illustrious pages of Perez Hilton. I'm not sure of this, but other than Tiger Woods, I'd take a wild guess and say Scott is only the second golfer to ever be on that website. Nice work, sir. I hope Kate Hudson was worth it.

Tadd and Webb -- That old saying goes, "You can't win a tournament on Thursday but you can sure lose one." I guess that goes for any round but the last.

Tadd Fujikawa, fresh off his 18th birthday just 11 days ago, scampered up the leader board on Saturday with a nice little nine-birdie 62. He was in sixth place going into Sunday, but a three-over 73 dropped the 5-foot-1 Fujikawa all the way to t-32 and a paycheck of just (and this is obviously relative) $29,237.14.

On the other hand, rookie Webb Simpson, just 23, rounded out his week with a two-under 68 to finish t-9 in his first event as a full timer on tour. Simpson, a Wake Forest product, could be one of those young fellows that makes some waves this season.

Final Round Handshakes ...

--Luke Donald made his PGA Tour debut at the Sony Open since he had to withdraw from the U.S. Open in June from a season ending wrist injury. Donald looked sharp, finishing t-23.

--You might remember Chris DiMarco as the golfer that was thisclose to chipping in at the 2005 Masters to take down Tiger Woods. The Florida Gator graduate sure hasn't been as hot since that time as his football team has. In 2008 he made just 14 of 29 cuts and missed his first one of 2009 at the Sony.

--Here is Tiger at Barack Obama's celebration. I thought it was about all he needed to say. Thoughts?
