Every night there are some stupendous, silly, stupid, or downright outlandish individual lines from around the lig. Doing Lines lets you know which one tops the list.Earlier this season, Kevin Garnett insisted that there were two Rajon Rondos on the court, not one. If Rondo has two mirror images, does Chris Paul have a half-dozen?
Paul had a majestic 25/10/15/7 -- one of those "smelling distance from a quadruple-double" performances. (No, you won't see me saying seven steals is almost 10 steals.) The amazing thing is, as it has been since last season, that Paul does all of this in low-possession games.
This game featured roughly 87 possessions for each team. Most teams get more than 90 possessions in a game, some nearly 100. You don't need an imagination to see how wild C.P.'s numbers could get on a faster-paced team.
Boss Level: Washington trailed Phoenix by just two points going into the fourth quarter. That's where Leandro Barbosa was born to play. (It's on his birth certificate.) Barbosa had 12 in the quarter on just eight possessions, efficiently augmenting some big performances from Shaquille O'Neal (29/8/3) and a monster game on the glass for Amare Stoudemire (15 rebounds in 37 minutes). Barbosa finished with 23, and he looked handsome doing it.
