The North Carolina Tar Heels were one missed Ty Lawson 3-pointer away from being in serious danger of a third ACC loss. That doesn't sound too scary, I suppose; the importance of last night's win over Florida State is probably better understood through the harsh words of coach Roy Williams towards his star Tyler Hansbrough.Williams told Hansbrough, according to his quotes following the game, that he "stunk."
"He didn't play very well," Williams said of Hansbrough, who missed the last 6:29 of the first half after collecting three fouls. "I told him he stunk tonight."Roy's right -- Carolina's leading rebounder last night was Lawson, which is beyond shocking, and certainly points towards Hansbrough's lack of effort. It's still surprising, though, to hear Psycho T criticized; he's the Tim Tebow of college basketball and hearing his coach complain about his effort is pretty rare.
Of course, no one thought this Carolina team would be flirting with three ACC losses this early in the season, so I guess it shouldn't be too surprising to see Roy pull any available trick out of the bag.
