PHOENIX -- Nate Robinson won the Slam Dunk contest by leaping over Dwight Howard, but Howard pulled out all the stops in one of his final round dunks as well. Not only did he return to the Superman gimmick, but he went even further with it by emerging from a phone booth on the stage, red cape tied around his neck. But that was just the beginning.Howard also brought out a second goal to dunk on, one that was positioned on a forklift so it could be raised 12 feet high for him to dunk on. Video of Howard's "Superman Two" dunk taken from my seat in the arena, after the jump.
As Nate Jones pointed out via email, the camera angle here (and on TV) really don't do this one justice. He dunked on a 12-foot rim, people! It might have been a bit better had he not grabbed the rim so easily before actually completing the dunk, but whatever. The guy went to the trouble of getting all of this set up, and even if it wasn't quite the most spectacular dunk we've ever seen, you can't deny the entertainment value of the show that Howard put together.
