The daughter of former Iowa football player and Iowa State football coach Dan McCarney was arrested for allegedly trying to punch and kick a police officer during a weekend incident in which she reportedly asked police, "Do you know who my dad is?" and informed them that she knew her family's fame and wealth would lead to charges being dropped.

Jillian McCarney now faces up to a year in prison for assault on a police officer.

The Iowa City Press-Citizen reports that Iowa City police arrested Jillian McCarney, a student at the University of Iowa, for having a disorderly house, and when they did, she tried to punch and kick an officer, and also became verbally abusive.

The police report says Jillian McCarney asked officers, "Do you know who my dad is? He is Dan McCarney." She also reportedly threatened violence multiple times and, the police report says, "guaranteed all her charges will be 'dropped' because her name is 'McCarney' and they have 'a lot of money.'"

Dan McCarney played at Iowa from 1972 to 1974 and was the head coach at Iowa State from 1995 to 2006.
