Emmitt Smith and ESPN Part 'Weighs'

You know the English language, right? The thing that I butchered in the headline above? Yeah, well, count February 20 as the day it got one back.

ESPN has decided not to bring Emmitt Smith back as an "analyst," which is really sad for those of us that enjoy laughing, but also a very good decision for the network itself. (While listening to Emmitt is humorous, it also makes you memorize the location of your mute button.)

The bottom line is this -- Emmitt was a terrible, terrible broadcaster who tried his hardest but just couldn't make the grade. It would be like if someone asked me to climb a mountain. I might attempt it. I might train for it. But at the end of the day, I'd fall off the mountain after about 10 minutes and probably break my hip.
