DeAngelo Hall Signs Big Deal With 'Skins
You would be wrong. NFL.com's Adam Schefter is reporting that, as previously discussed, the Redskins are locking up Hall to a long-term deal. Apparently it's a six-year deal worth $54 million, $22 million of which is guaranteed.
Here's the thing: Hall was good with the Redskins. He stunk (that's putting it not only mildly, but in a nice manner) with the Raiders, and he was highly overrated and consistently burnt by Steve Smith when he played for Atlanta.
But this is Dan Snyder and the Washington Redskins we're talking about, and if a guy was decent -- serviceable for part of a season -- well, by golly, send him a ton of up-front, guaranteed money and a large contract.
On the bright side, the Redskin blogosphere reaction should be pretty enjoyable tomorrow morning.
