Dan Leone, as you have no doubt heard by now, was fired by the Philadelphia Eagles earlier this week for writing a disparaging message about the team on his Facebook wall.

Dan referred to the Eagles as "retarded" and he is now unemployed, leaving him plenty of time to talk to journalist-blogger types on the phone. We were fortunate enough to talk with Dan recently and, while you won't be able to hear the full interview until Burning Down the House -- FanHouse's most popular podcast -- returns later this week, we thought we'd bring you a preview ...

For starters, we found out the impersonal nature with which the Eagles decided to terminate Dan and it involves both a Facebook comment and a telephone call. Does Dan feel personally wronged by the firing? Kind of -- he's somewhat apologetic but a touch offended that the Eagles might have violated some of his rights.

We also found out his current status regarding legal representation, as well as which former Eagle may or may not have reached out to the former employee. Dan's takes on whether or not he would take his job back and what football team he'll be pulling for might be the most surprising of all, though.

Now, my immediate reaction is to a) find a lawyer and start making sure that the Eagles terminated me fairly, and b) immediately start pulling for the Cowboys, Giants and Redskins. You can air your opinion as to how Dan should act in the comments below, but make sure to check back Friday, via the Burning Down the House tag, to catch the full interview with Dan Leone.
