That distinction would currently fall to Charlie Villanueva, Bucks forward and one of the best athletes to follow on Twitter (@CV31), simply because he's consistently active, engaging and pretty amusing. But a tweet from Villanueva today is bound to surprise everyone and spark some debate, considering he claims to have sent it from halftime of the Bucks game.
In da locker room, snuck to post my twitt. We're playing the Celtics, tie ball game at da half. Coach wants more toughness. I gotta step up.I haven't used Twitterberry, so I can't speak to the ease with which one can run to a locker, fire up a phone and tap out a "twitt." I do know that in order to pull that off on my iPhone, I'd need more than a few quick seconds.
There's a possibility, I suppose, that Villanueva had one of his friends or PR reps send the Tweet at halftime; presumably by doing this, Villanueva will draw some media attention.
I'm just going to run with the theory that CV31 was walking back from the bathroom and stopped by his phone to get his social media on. Or, on the other hand, maybe he's just really, really addicted to Twitter.
Update: CV31 read this post, apparently, and has pointed out several times that it is in fact him on Twitter. Let me be clear though: I in no way was implying that Villanueva is anything other than a totally legit member of Twitteronia. I simply was curious how one managed to fire off a tweet at halftime of an NBA game. To be continued?
