Stephen Jackson Suspended for Picking Up 16th Technical Foul

Stephen Jackson picked up two technical fouls during Sunday night's humiliating 154-130 loss to the Phoenix Suns, which gave him a league-leading 17 on the season. The league announced that Jackson has been suspended for one game without pay, because once a player reaches 16, the suspension is automatic.

My question for Stephen Jackson is this: Why bother?

Once Monta Ellis went down with the moped accident over the summer, you pretty much knew the Warriors weren't going anywhere this season. The team refuses to play even an ounce of defense -- ever -- and the coach has admittedly thrown in the towel by benching his best players.

Honestly, it doesn't make any sense. With the team having no shot to do anything but score 130 and lose, Jackson should completely ignore the officials. Unless of course he enjoys losing game checks, which this suspension has caused him to do once, and which his next technical foul will cause him to do again.
