I'm not sure if you knew this, but somehow, someway, having a really attractive woman as your spokesperson does wonders for your company. GoDaddy.com understands this, and plans on adding another pretty athlete to its arsenal this weekend at the J Golf Phoenix LPGA International.

Anna Rawson is one of the rising stars in women's golf. With a top-20 performance at Q-school, the Australian golfer and model qualified for a full-time LPGA Tour card in 2009.

Rawson got her break into a modeling career at age 16, when she was a finalist in the Australian "Dolly" Magazine cover contest. Her interest in fashion led her to become the spokeswoman and assistant creative director for the J. Lindeberg women's golf line.

Anna Rawson, as you might remember, has been in the headlines two times in the past four months, once for successfully meandering her way through LPGA Q-School alongside Michelle Wie to get full status on tour, and again for comments she made about the past image of the LPGA.

To recap what she said during a radio interview in Australia:
"The tour has got so much better with so many young stars and great players," Rawson told the radio station in an interview arranged by her father Jim.

"But the mentality unfortunately amongst the media and the industry hasn't changed. They still think we're at 25 years ago when the tour was full of, you know, a lot of dykes and unattractive females nobody wanted to watch."

While the comments were obviously ridiculous and insensitive, GoDaddy.com is a website that prides itself on controversial marketing, so maybe Rawson and the company will fit perfectly together.

The 27-year-old Australian will be teaming up with Danica Patrick, Candice Michelle of the WWE and poker star Vanessa Rousso to help promote the service, which sells domain names. Not a bad foursome for GoDaddy to bring to the first tee, if you ask me.
