Apparently Michael Vick has not spent all his time in prison making license plates. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is reporting that the former Falcons QB has written a book, and is now looking for a co-author to help refine it as he gets ready to leave a halfway house and return to society. While Vick's book may help him as he works his way out of bankruptcy, it hurt his chances of getting back on the football field. Until that book is released, it's a potential land mine for any team considering taking the risk of putting Vick on the field. If he comes across as unrepentant in the book, you can look for even more protests from PETA and others.
And no matter what he writes, it's a lose-lose situation for a team that has him on the roster. Even if Vick begs for the public's forgiveness in the book , it still ensures that he'll get another wave of questions about dog fighting when the book comes out (publishers expect authors to do some publicity), which is not something that any NFL team will want to see.
