Here's the skinny: Lynch averaged a quite paltry 69.1 yards per game last year and only 4.1 yards per carry. He was a late-round pick with plenty of upside, because people (raises hand high, shamefully) thought it was his time to shine. But after the Bills got white-hot early, they proceeded to cool in a very quick fashion.
Lynch, for his part, actually had his three 100-yard games after the Bills stopped playing well, but he only scored four touchdowns after the Bills bye week ... which happened in Week 6.
In other words, we are staring at now a guy who reeks of mid-to-late second round. He's got his locked-in six games against the Pats, Bills and Dolphins remaining and then has the Bucs, Falcons, Colts, Jags, Saints, Panthers, Texans, Titans, Chiefs and Browns.
Total knee-jerk reaction makes him a decent upside play if he's available really late, depending of course on what the Bills do with Fred Jackson and in the draft, but all of a sudden, Lynch is heading into his third year as an NFL starter and can't crack
