Michael Crabtree, WR

    Selected:

  • College: Texas Tech
  • Age: 21
  • Height: 6-foot-2
  • Weight: 215 lbs.
  • 2008 Stats: 97 catches for 1,165 yards, 19 touchdowns, 1 kick return for 50 yards

Scouting Report: Great hands, electric ability to adjust to the ball and make difficult catches. Constant motor, shows tenacious competitiveness, which also presents itself in his blocking. Ideal size for a wide receiver. Instincts off the charts. Foot injury raises concerns for NFL teams, speed was already an issue before. Tech's system limited what Crabtree had to do, often putting him in quick routes and space.

2009 Outlook: Assuming his foot is healed, and stays healed, Crabtree could make one of the biggest impacts in the '09 class. Crabtree's ceiling is compared to Larry Fitzgerald, and the talent is there if he adjusts to an NFL system and gains a little strength.
