Wednesday's Penguins-Capitals tilt was another in a long line of exciting playoff games in the NHL this season, featuring a strong individual performance from Evgeni Malkin, another stellar night between the pipes for Simeon Varlamov, and a game-winner in overtime from a player that had been struggling for much of the playoffs.

It also included Washington's Alex Ovechkin attempting to skate through Pittsburgh's Brooks Orpik.

Honestly, the reaction from the crowd in the wake of that collision was one of the loudest of the night, mainly because everyone in the building could see it coming from a mile away. As soon as Orpik turned the corner, it was as if Ovechkin was locked in, while the 17,132 in attendance anticipated something epic. They weren't disappointed.

It was also somewhat reminiscent of Ovechkin's attempt to hit Malkin a year ago.
