A-Rod's Celebrity Tour Continues With Kate Hudson

It's been a pretty horrible year for Alex Rodriguez, but after seeing the way he's handled himself in light of the steroid scandal and reading Selena Roberts' book, I kind of get the impression that he couldn't care less. According to Roberts in her book, Rodriguez is more focused these days on being a celebrity than a baseball player, and a lot of his actions back this up. There was that whole leaving his wife for Madonna thing, for example.

There was also a part of the book that talked about the first time A-Rod met Kate Hudson at the re-opening of the Fontainebleau hotel in Miami last November. Roberts said that Hudson flirted with A-Rod pretty constantly and that he seemed to like it, and now apparently the two of them are spending their time making out with each other in New York restaurants.

YANKEES slugger Alex Rodriguez seems to have traded in a vintage Madonna for a late-model Kate Hudson.

The blond, Los Angeles-born actress -- who met A-Rod at the reopening of the Fontainebleau hotel in Miami Beach last November -- was photographed at Friday's game, cheering on the Bronx Bombers at the new Yankee Stadium.

But the real action came later that night at Mustang Grill on Second Avenue. Our source said a bartender at the Southwestern joint at 85th Street "was asking patrons not to go in the back room around 1 a.m. because A-Rod and Kate Hudson were back there making out."

And if it's in the New York Post, it has to be true.

What this means for A-Rod, I'm not entirely sure, nor do I really care all that much. Maybe he'll be able to turn this relationship into a movie deal where he can star with Hudson in a whole bunch of horrible romantic comedies. I mean, we already know that Rodriguez is a horrible actor, but that never stopped Matthew McConaughey from doing it, did it?
