NBA's Final 4, Where Every Shot Counts

It deserves special mention, I think, how incredibly close every game of the NBA conference finals has been. One of the biggest criticisms of the NBA's postseason is that it drags on forever -- that it doesn't matter what happens in Game 1, providing there will be a Game 7. Somehow, the one-and-done aspect of the NCAA Tournament provides more frequent opportunities for unexpected extinction.

Tell me Hedo Turkoglu's tie-breaking pop didn't feel fatal in Cleveland Friday. And that LeBron James' incredible three meant nothing since it only happened in Game 2. In fact, every game of both sets of the conference finals have come down to a shot or two. Four games decided by a total of seven points ... with all those games played in the favorites' home buildings.

All year we've touted how extraordinary it is to be an NBA fan right now. No kidding, huh?
