Roethlisberger Limps Out of Practice

It looks to be very minor, but on Wednesday we got a reminder of why there's a reason to be nervous anytime football players take to the field.

Ben Roethlisberger limped off the field during today's organized training activities after injuring his left knee. According to Dale Lolley, Lawrence Timmons stepped on his foot as he released a pass.
He was limping pretty bad, but according to both Lolley and the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, he returned to watch the rest of practice and everyone was acting like it was no big deal -- although the Steelers would not go into any specifics on the injury.

It's worth remembering that back in 1996, the Steelers lost Chad Scott for the entire season due to a torn ACL he suffered during one of these minicamps. Thankfully it looks like Roethlisberger avoided any serious injury, but these OTAs aren't always as safe as everyone thinks they are.
