In an effort to keep our golf visitors well informed on what is going on around the Internet, Range Balls is our weekly link dump. Every Tuesday during golf season, we will toss out some of the most interesting things we came across. If you have a tip, e-mail us at fanhousegolf@gmail.com. Enjoy the links.

-- You probably didn't know this, but Tim Clark and LeBron James have a ton in common ... well, when they lose. After Clark choked his way to another lose at the Colonial, the South African now known around the golf world as "The Walking Lip Out" decided against attending his press conference. If he starts tossing chalk in the air on the first tee, I'm going to get suspicious. [Golfweek]

-- The Armchair Golf Blog makes a good point -- can we all stop calling what Tiger Woods does "unbelievable." The stuff is believable, because he has made it that way. [Armchair Golf Blog]

-- Nick Taylor accomplished two incredible things this week -- earning a spot in the U.S. Open field at Bethpage by shooting rounds of 66-70 at sectional qualifying and making it on Wei Under Par. The University of Washington phenomenon will be attending the U.S. Open for the second consecutive year. He missed the cut at Torrey Pines in 2008 with rounds of 77-75. [Wei Under Par]

-- Talk about committed ... Phil Mickelson, following Tiger's lead on Monday, played a practice round at Bethpage Black ... in a downpour. [Press Tent]

-- Face it ... the putting statistics on the PGA Tour are tainted. Can't we figure out another way to weigh the putting stats? [One-Eyed Golfer]
