Stephen CurryLAS VEGAS -- OK, so it's not quite opening night in late October. Fair enough.

But it's the start of the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, which means many first-year players will be making their professional debuts Friday.

Getting things started will be Stephen Curry and the Warriors, who will take on the Houston Rockets this afternoon at COX Pavilion. It's the first of four games today, which also includes: Detroit vs. Sacramento; L.A. Lakers vs. Toronto; and Milwaukee vs. Dallas.

There are 10 days of games and 21 NBA teams are represented.

Curry, who was selected with the No. 7 pick in last month's NBA draft, will be one of several rookies taking the court today.

Others include: Chase Budinger (Houston), Austin Daye (Detroit), Jonas Jerebko (Detroit), Tyreke Evans (Sacramento), Omri Casspi (Sacramento), DeMar DeRozan (Toronto), Brandon Jennings (Milwaukee) and Rodrigue Beaubois (Dallas).

FanHouse's own Matt Watson and Gary Washburn will be out in Las Vegas covering the action all week long, along with myself. Since you won't be able to see the action online this year, check back all week for updates, interviews and more.
