In an effort to keep our golf visitors well informed on what is going on around the Internet, Range Balls is our weekly link dump. Every Tuesday during golf season, we will toss out some of the most interesting things we came across. If you have a tip, e-mail us at fanhousegolf@gmail.com. Enjoy the links.-- Donald Trump has just a few dreams left that he has yet to fulfill, one of them involves hosting a U.S. Open at one of his golf courses. The first step occurred this week, when Trump National Golf Club-Bedminster hosted the U.S. Junior Amateur, and all was right in the world before someone stole the Donald's golf cart. No word yet if the heister was an old "Apprentice" firee. [Star-Ledger]
-- Charles Barkley went as far as saying Tiger Woods' career to this point has been more impressive than buddy and fellow basketball legend Michael Jordan's career. "I think Tiger is more impressive. He has to play against 130 guys or more every week. He can't control what other people are doing," Barkley said. Jordan responded by picking out the most hideously unattractive cargo pants ever and wearing them at the Lake Tahoe Celebrity Championship. [Arizona Daily Star]
-- Sure, you might be frustrated with Stewart Cink taking the Claret Jug from Tom Watson last week at Turnberry, but you can't argue with the many hours of entertainment we will get from Cink's Twitter page. His question Tuesday morning -- "Having trouble deciding which cup to pour my OJ in this morning." I'm assuming you can guess what he's talking about. [Twitter]
-- Non-golf fans have been adamant that golf isn't a sport, and Watson's run sure didn't help the cause. So, is golf a sport? [Wei Under Par]
-- You know the interview rooms at Turnberry that looked like a R&A locker room? Yeah, they weren't even real. [Waggle Room]
