Looking to cycle spot-starters each day? Check out the Stream Team, where we tab pitchers that are likely to help you in your quest for fantasy gold.

Through six innings, Jeff Niemann was rolling along to another quality start, having allowed just a solo HR in the first. After giving up another HR in the seventh, Niemann put two runners on base before Tampa Bay went to the bullpen. Both runners ended up coming around to score, giving our pitchers a disappointing four-run outing in 6.1 innings. With five strikeouts and only one walk allowed yesterday, Niemann's final line wasn't indicative of his strong overall performance against the Mariners.

Today, we have Mat Latos taking the mound for our Team against the Mets. Yesterday, Kevin Correia went six innings against those Mets without allowing an earned run.

In the article yesterday, I was faced with a difficult decision, choosing between either Latos or Brett Anderson for today's spot start. Well, it turns out Anderson was incorrectly labeled as the Saturday starter, and he's due to go Sunday afternoon against the Royals, facing Luke Hochevar. This makes him an even better option than he would have been today, as he avoids a duel with ace Zach Greinke.

We also get the added benefit of Anderson's day/night splits. It's obvious Anderson is pitching on another level right now, but if you take into account his performance for the entire season, he does markedly better during the day, posting a 3.05 ERA and 1.11 WHIP (as opposed to the 4.84 ERA and 1.40 WHIP at night).

So let's mark Anderson down for the Stream Team tomorrow. The Royals have lost eight of their last 10 games, so I like the Oakland rookie's odds at locking down a win to go along with a solid stat-line.
