Fantasy Football Tight End Rankings: Version 3.0

As the season nears, FanHouse's fantasy football team decided to put our heads together for another set of updated positional rankings. In this installment, the big bodies on the line are ranked and filed.

In all, there was a little jockeying for position in our TE rankings this time around, but most players remained in relatively the same spot. I contend that if you don't get one of the first few tight ends, you should wait till the end of the draft and pick up one of a host of sleepers. If you need some guidance as to which tight ends to target -- well, that's why you have us.

1. Jason Witten	Cowboys
He'll be the No. 1 option in the Cowboy offense, and I think we'll see a reprise of Witten's remarkable 2007.
2. Antonio Gates	Chargers
Can you believe he's only 29 years old? He still has at least three or four excellent seasons in him.
3. Tony Gonzalez	Falcons
With Harry Douglas out for the season, Matt Ryan will have to rely on Gonzalez even more this year.
4. Dallas Clark	Colts
Clark's 11-TD season in 2007 was pretty special, and his yardage numbers shot up in 2008. Can he put the two together?
t-5. Chris Cooley	Redskins
Cooley's targets remained consistent, but he did a much better job of catching what was thrown to him. He's bound to score more TDs.
t-5. Greg Olsen	Bears
Olsen ties with Cooley this time around. Many people expect big things, as Cutler likes throwing to the TE and there isn't an established No. 2 WR in Chicago.
7. Dustin Keller	Jets
This time around, Keller was the clear option at No. 7. With Coles gone, Keller should up his TD total.
t-8. Kellen Winslow	Buccaneers
Winslow has to overcome the QB carousel in Tampa, as well as his own attitude. He has a high ceiling, but a low floor.
t-8. Owen Daniels	Texans
Daniels ties Winslow yet again, so I've listed him second this time around to even the score. Andre Johnson's emergence could limit Daniels' looks.
10. Zach Miller	Raiders
He was the Raiders' air game between the 20s last year, catching 56 balls on 86 targets for 778 yards. Any uptick in TDs and he outperforms this slot.
