Chris Davis' chances of making the Titans 53-man roster took a hit when a hamstring injury sidelined him for last week's Bills' game and tonight's game against the Cowboys. But what he was doing while the Titans were flying to Dallas might really finish his tenure with the Titans. While the rest of the team was in Dallas, Davis was arrested Thursday night/Friday morning and charged with driving under the influence.
The interesting tidbit pulled up by the Nashville City Paper is that the arresting officer was Shawn Taylor, the same officer that pulled Steve McNair over for driving under the influence in 2003 and pulled over Sahel Kazemi with McNair earlier this year.
Before the hamstring injury and the arrest, Davis looked like he'd get a third season in Nashville, but the combination of missing most of training camp combined with the possibility of a suspension for the DUI arrest likely has him looking up to Lavelle Hawkins and Paul Williams on the depth chart in a three-way battle for two jobs.
