HBO's 24/7 boxing show is a brilliant way to hype a pay-per-view fight. The four-part documentary takes viewers inside the lives of the fighters, and by the end of it, you can't help but want to see these two go at it.

But while watching the current 24/7 series, which is hyping Saturday night's fight between Juan Manuel Marquez and Floyd Mayweather Jr., you also can't help but want to see Marquez give Mayweather a beating. And that raises a question: Is the show unfair to Mayweather?

During our live chat with Mayweather on Monday, a FanHouse reader asked him exactly that: "Do you think the 24/7 show portrays you fairly?" a FanHouse reader named Jerome asked. "In my opinion Juan Manuel Marquez is made out to be a nice family man and you're made out to be the villain."

Mayweather sounded like he wasn't too happy with 24/7, but he didn't want to go there.

"I have a problem with some things that have been done on that," Mayweather said. "But that's all I'll say. Next question."

I don't think there's any doubt that Marquez has come across like the more likable of the two boxers on this current installment of 24/7, but I think the truth is, Mayweather has made a conscious attempt to set himself up as the bad guy. He knows that by coming across as an arrogant jerk, he's making people want to buy his fight to see him get beaten. Marquez will be the fan favorite on Saturday night, but Mayweather will be the real draw, and that's because people love to watch a villain.
