Tom Cruise Says Suri Loves Redskins, Not Sure If That Holds After Lions Game

The Redskins crash-landed into rock bottom Sunday, losing to the Lions, an outfit that last won a game in December, 2007. Maybe it's just a bump in the road -- a learning experience -- on the way to something bigger (there's a better chance the Browns win the Super Bowl). But from the perspective of late September, I feel safe in writing that Jason Campbell and Jim Zorn won't be in D.C. in 2010.

Not exactly a revelation since we've been talking about it for a couple years, just the realization that, for different reasons, neither guy worked out in D.C. All is not lost, however. The 'Skins may have bumbled their way to defeat against the Lions, but the weekend wasn't without its bright spots. The team got to hang out with Tom Cruise AND Suri.

Yesterday, I mentioned that Cruise was at Ford Field prior to kickoff yukking it up with Zorn. There's more, apparently.

Via Larry Weisman (via DC Sports Bog):
Cruise popped in at the team hotel in Dearborn, Mi., on Saturday afternoon with daughter Suri, 3, in tow... He joined Redskins owner Dan Snyder and others for dinner Saturday night. Cruise says his daughter loves the Redskins and always wears the Redskins pajamas the Snyders gave her. If Cruise's shooting schedule permits, he may try to make it to FedEx on Tuesday for the U2 concert. He saw them play at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass., the home of the New England Patriots, and said it was the best outdoor concert he had ever attended.
Cruise and Snyder go way back. But more than that, the news that Suri wears Redskins pajamas more than makes up for the fact that the season is already lost and we're not even to October.
