Sure, Terrell Owens may have spent much of Sunday night and Monday morning documenting all the reasons Rodney Harrison is an HGH-addled fraud, but at least Harrison has his dignity.
As T.O. walked off the field at Ralph Wilson Stadium following his no-catch performance in the Bills' loss to the Saints, a fan, with nothing better to do with his popcorn, dumped it on Owens.
Oh, the humanity.
The Buffalo News' Jerry Sullivan writes that the popcorn hit T.O. "... on the head. It was a crude gesture, but almost understandable. Owens told fans to bring the popcorn." And Gary Loewen of the Toronto Sun took T.O.'s side. "On the bright side, it was about time something got thrown Owens' way. As for the fan, he must be shy a few kernels. What in the name of Orville Redenbacher was he thinking by assaulting Owens? It's not the receiver's fault that the Bills are ignoring his flamboyant skills."
Ah, the timeliness of a Redenbacher references. That aside, I'm not sure the issue was the Bills ignoring T.O.'s "flamboyant skills." The issue, as it's been for a while now, is that Buffalo's offense isn't very good. Presumably, Owens knew that when he signed with the Bills this offseason, but it wasn't like he had a lot of options after the Cowboys released him.
Upshot: only 14 more weeks until T.O. can commit himself to his true love.
