Stephen GostkowskiWith all the offensive stars New England has, you would think someone like Tom Brady would be leading the team in total points. But it's kicker Stephen Gostkowski that's blazing the trail, with 30 points through three games. He nailed all four of his attempts last week against Atlanta en route to a 14-point showing, and with another tough defense on tap his leg should be golden again. If this keeps up, he'll have no problem matching his 148 points from last season.

1. Stephen Gostkowski, NE vs. BAL
2. John Carney, NO vs. NYJ

• If you're an owner of David Akers, Jason Elam, Neil Rackers or John Kasay, please don't cut someone valuable instead during the bye week. Shed the kicker, it's not worth keeping them aboard. Replacements like Prater are available in over 70 percent of Fleaflicker leagues.

Phil Dawson missed practice again Thursday because of a right calf injury and will likely not play vs. Cincinnati. Billy Cundiff will take his place. Two things you don't want in a kicker: He plays for Cleveland. He has a leg problem.

• Olindo Mare is on a short leash after missing two field goals last week -- from 43 and 34 yards out. Even though he came through for 13 points against Chicago, you don't want to risk playing Mare just to watch Jim Mora pull him if he misses another one.

• If you're looking for a sleeper, check out second-year kicker Steven Hauschka, who's done well under the radar with 25 points for Baltimore. He's available in 92 percent of Fleaflicker leagues.
