Did the injury bug hit your fantasy football team like it was a car windshield moving at 100 MPH? If so, it may be time to do some Damage Control.Quarterback
• Eli Manning, Giants - Manning was diagnosed with inflamed tissue in his right foot following an MRI at the Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan. The Giants' team physician has cleared him to play this weekend against Oakland if he can tolerate the pain.
• Matthew Stafford, Lions - Stafford was forced to leave the game early on Sunday with a knee injury. It turns out the kneecap popped out of joint and then right back in. He's going to be reevaluated this week.
Running Back
• Correll Buckhalter, Broncos - Buckhalter sprained his left ankle on Sunday against the Cowboys and was helped off of the field by two trainers. He was seen leaving the stadium on crutches.
• Marion Barber, Cowboys - After 39 yards and a touchdown on 10 first-half carriers, Barber only rushed the ball once in the second half. This is just pure speculation as the team hasn't said anything yet, but there are rumors flying around that Barber injured his quad again. There could be nothing to this story or it could be Marion being Marion.
• Darren McFadden, Raiders - McFadden has been ruled out 2-4 weeks with torn cartilage in his right knee. Justin Fargas and Michael Bush will pick up carries in McFadden's absence.
• Shonn Greene, Jets - The Jets gave their rookie third-round selection his first NFL action on Sunday and he responded by tweaking his ankle. The injury didn't seem too serious to coach Rex Ryan.
Wide Receiver
• Devin Hester, Bears - Hester left the game on Sunday in the second quarter with what appeared to be a shoulder injury. Now we're hearing that it's a neck injury. Bears coach Lovie Smith expects Hester to play against the Falcons.
• Johnny Knox, Bears - Knox injured his right shin on Sunday but said "it's nothing." The injury doesn't seem serious and Knox should be ready for Week 6 (the Bears have a bye in Week 5).
• Calvin Johnson, Lions. Johnson is expected to be fine after taking a helmet to the thigh and being forced to leave the game on Sunday. The injury was first reported as a knee problem, so this news is fantastic.
Tight End
• Zach Miller, Raiders - Miller left the game Sunday with a concussion, but it doesn't seem to be a major head injury. The Raiders still expect Miller to play in Week 5 against the Giants.
Offensive Line
• Jared Gaither, Ravens - X-rays came back negative on Gaither's neck after being down on the field for quite a while. Ravens coach John Harbaugh said that Gaither has a "real good" chance to be ready for Week 5.
Individual Defensive Players
• Nick Harper, Titans - Harper suffered a rib injury Sunday and did not finish the game. His status for Week 5 against the Colts is not known.
• Shaun Phillips, Chargers - Phillips left the game Sunday night in the first quarter with a forearm injury and will be reevaluated this week.
• Brendon Ayanbadejo, Ravens - Ayanbadejo tore his quad muscle in the third quarter on Sunday and Baltimore placed him on injured reserve Monday.
