Ricky Funez knows boxing. He's been around the sport for nearly 20 years, working alongside such legends as Joe Goossen, Freddie Roach, Sugar Shane Mosley and James Toney, just to name a few.

But Ricky doesn't only work with stars, he dedicates lots of his time working with young fighters, especially gang members living in LA's San Fernando Valley by getting them off the streets and into the gym.

He does this because he knows all too well what the life of a gang member is all about. In this exclusive video, we visit Funez as he trains 15-year-old boxing prodigy and nephew Juan Funez at the Goossen gym in Van Nuys.

Check out the video after the jump.
