Roy WilliamsDallas will be shorthanded for its game at Kansas City Sunday -- running back Felix Jones and wide receiver Roy Williams did not travel with the team due to injury, according to Chiefs' PR man Josh Looney.

Neither development is much of a surprise, though Williams' loss definitely hurts an offense that has struggled mightily at times this season. Williams got popped by Denver's D.J. Williams late in the Cowboys' Week 4 loss at Denver, and missed practice all this week with a lingering rib injury.

His absence will force Miles Austin into the Dallas starting lineup.

Jones' absence isn't as damaging for Dallas -- but Jones might not want to stay out of the lineup for too long. With Marion Barber back from his own injury and Tashard Choice playing well, Jones could find himself in a reduced role once he returns.

The best news for the banged-up 'Boys is that Kansas City's not shown much of anything so far this season. Heading into K.C. isn't a gimme, but there are definitely worse opponents that Dallas could be matched up with. The Cowboys also have the benefit of a bye next week, so if they can survive the Chiefs and get to 3-2, they should be able to get back to full strength for a Week 7 game against Atlanta.
