Vesa Toskala has more company.A couple years ago, Toskala allowed an improbable goal from over 190 feet away against the New York Islanders. Since then, guys have allowed bad goals left and right, but few have come close to duplicating Toskala's feat until Thursday night in Atlanta. It was there that Thrashers goalie Ondrej Pavelec was fooled by a puck with a mind of its own. Video after the jump.
The Capitals took a 3-2 lead on this goal, which was credited to Jeff Schultz, who was probably standing around 175 feet away from Pavelec when he shot.
It was the start of a string of three goals by Washington in just 1:28, which was enough to chase Pavelec in favor of Johan Hedberg.
