The victory was the 10th straight by the 147-pound Hernandez (26-1, 18 knockouts), who also ended a 12-bout winning streak by Frias (16-2, seven KOs).
Meanwhile, in a super bantamweight (122-pounds) matchup, Victor Fonseca scored his ninth knockout to improve to 17-0 as he dethroned NABF champion, Al Seeger (28-5, 22 KOs) with a ninth-round stoppage.
